After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.  (from Goodreads)

Jennifer L. Armentrout has done it again!  While this was a longer read for me (I blame Blake and my burning hatred for him!), I enjoyed it.  The end was just...wow.  In typical Lux series form, there is a huge cliffhanger.  Enjoy guys!  But the last 2 books in the series are now out.  At least you'll get some resolution!!

Katy is as witty and hilarious as ever.  I love the way she describes everything and literally fangirls over every little aspect of her life.  "Daemon looked in my eyes and smiled." *fangirl* "Daemon whispered to me in his native language trying to comfort me." *fangirl* That's how most of the book is, and I love it.

Daemon was great as always, if not even sweeter than at the end of Onyx.  He is the perfect book boyfriend, where can I get one??  I'd kill for a super protective Luxen who loved me.  Win. Win.

My only qualms with this book (because I just have to have 1!) was the ending...in that it felt rushed.  It was great, don't get me wrong, but I kind of wish it didn't end in a cliffhanger.  Part of me just wished that Katy and Daemon could just keep on keeping on the way they were throughout the book, minus all the drama.  But it was a great ending anyway, and I need to read Origin ASAP.

This was great, and I absolutely would recommend this entire series to anyone who enjoys paranormal YA.  The character development is fantastic!!

4 out of 5 happy clouds :)
