Cora Carmack reminded me once again why I love her work. All Lined Up was the sweet story of a girl (similar to me) and her hatred of football, and love for the boy who needs football for his future.
Dallas is such an interesting character, and I love that she goes back and forth between loathing football and "eh, its football" because that's how I actually am. And her justification is completely reasonable. I've met the parents who are also coaches type before. Its great fun.
Carson is dreamy on all levels, and he actually comes from a rather good family, which is a breath of fresh air within the "New Adult" genre that seems to have every main male character is tortured and comes from a broken or abusive family. There are exceptions to this, but that is the trend right now.
The romance between Dallas and Carson is sweet, realistic, and left me smiling at the end. They're sweet, and I'm relieved that it wasn't "insta-love" and just mutual attraction. Slow building romance that started with friendship was great, despite their differences.
Needless to say I loved this. Plus Cora Carmack is a complete sweetheart and absolutely wonderful to her fans. I'll read anything she writes!!!
